Northern summer camp managed to open onsite and to have a trip despite the pandemic. Watch our New Century Film Farm Trip HERE.

For 6 years Al Whitted was the program director of an NC traditional day camp and for 15 years he was the owner, director of an “Outward Bound” type adventure camp. Al directs the Northern Summer Camp's Outdoor Adventures program and training leaders for each activity.

From 1 pm to 5 pm, campers will learn field games, sports, archery, wilderness skills including fire making and fire cooking, and marksmanship. And the creative free plays with stilts, pogo sticks, jump ropes, 4 square, nerf boomerangs, kites, footballs, volleyballs, frisbees, soccer balls, hacky sacks, giant jenga, corn hole, horseshoes, and other outdoor stations.

On Saturdays, Al takes campers to state parks for hiking, canoeing, tubing, swimming, waterfall exploration, and field games.

In 2020 summer, because of COVID-19 prevention measure, we will only choose those activities that allow us to keep social distancing. If trip is allowed by the New York State, we will organize trips for onsite campers.
